Minecraft worlds are seen as cuboid planets, floating in a cuboid space. Why not make worlds like this? I know some people may be confused, but let me explain. Everything in minecraft is a cube, so why not worlds? I'm saying, worlds in minecraft should be cuboid in shape. There would be edges, walking over these will just make you go over to the next side of the world. If this should not be in every world, how about as a map type? It could be called cuboid world. Of course there would still be bedrock and the void.
I've made a poll, so i can see what people want with this idea, and tell me your thoughts on this.
And please, constructive criticism. Nothing like: "ME THINK YOU DUMB. TROLOLOL. BAD IDEA. I SAY NONONONONO. THIS BE GAY EVEN AS MOD. TROLOLOLOL" I wouldn't mind people just saying simply:
"Here's my opinion on this...." or "No, this shouldn't be in the game. Here's my reasons for saying this....."
AND no goombageek techniques here please, they can be funny but eventually people can get pissed off if it constantly happens to their topics.
To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
You said there would still be bedrock and the void.
I could understand there being bedrock as like, the core of the planet (which would help fix a complete gravitational reverse like Rommiebak said) but where would the void be? It wouldn't be in the center of the planet would it?

Instead of having the world be an actual 3dimensional cube,
just have the world "loop" back around itself.
Think like the Pacman portals or two Valve portals facing eachother against a wall,
but on a much larger scale
(about the same size as the amount of land a Map can
record) That way there will be no need for "gravity warps".
