Invisible blocks would be useful for pushing blocks at a distance using pistons. You would also walk through them, and not be able to select or click on them without the proper "goggles" and tools.
You could do things like this:
(push things at a distance, by pushing "invisible blocks" that push the draw bridge)
These invisible blocks would react only to other blocks, but not to any entities like mobs or players or dropped items.
To edit them, perhaps you would have to be wearing a special helmet that lets you see them, and you would have to use a special pick to move them. They would also need a crafting recipe.
You could do all sorts of fun redstone mechanical tricks if you had invisible blocks that you could manipulate, to push other blocks at a distance.
Perhaps crafting the blocks/ goggles/ pick would require lapis? Finally a use for it. What do you think?
Seems like a cool idea but I would just want invisible blocks like you can see through them and break them easily. And crafting with glass panes.
I don't think they should be breakable easily, as you could easily accidentally break them then. I think they should only be breakable/ "hoverable" when you wear special glasses that allow you to see them. Without these glasses you wouldn't even see their outline.
Very cool, I never knew about this. It is very similar to what I had in mind, except that pistons can't push it and that you can "see" it by hovering over it with your mouse and you see the outline. I think the outline should only be visible when you wear the special glasses. This way you can interact with it without distraction or risk of breaking it.
Maybe also add a SOLID invisible block that is only can be seen in creative mode, and it would be indestructable, so you can use it for adventure maps, plus with your idea, it can be pushed or pulled by pistons to form a gate or bridge that you have to cross when you turn on the pistions, not before. Plus it can be used as a "limit" boundry without using something like bedrock to prevent people from seeing it and simply dig under or go around something.

Agreed, especially with "creative only"
Somebody, sometime is going to want to be able to craft it...and no, just no.

If anyone wants to port/remake this, feel free to do that! Or don't. It's up to you, really.

Airblocks can't be used to push other blocks at a "distance" (like a draw bridge).

Any ideas?

That wasn't very constructive criticism...
What would bother you about it?
