a block that doesn't move, like dirt, but lets water pass. (possibly slowly) and it is like sand in where it's located, in random low zones, on the coast, ect. pretty much making it just a challenge to build on.
good, bad?
edit: almost forgot, it grows grass just like dirt does, but the side/bottom looks different than dirt. so if a marsh is covered in grass, you cant tell unless you look at the side of it.

"Mud"
A block procedurally made when dirt is in DIRECT contact (under not included)with water for a long enough period of time. Mud can be moved through at half the rate of water, and you can plant seeds on it. Tilled soil does NOT turn into Mud. Seeds planted in Mud are changed to Cattails, which can be used for things(fire arrows, maybe?). Mud allows water to pass through, as long as water is on the same level as it. It will not allow water to pass through up or down, however.

Marshes and swamps are puddle filled and wet, so the top tile would be something dark and damp sounding when you walk on it.
