The idea is quite simple, you can color redstone.
I always found it irritating on how you can't separate redstone that is right next to each other. Colored redstone would make it so only the same color of redstone will effect it. There is also different colored redstone torches.
Here are 2 concept photos:
These are not real, but they can pretty much show what I am talking about.
These concepts are showing blue redstone, that's been dyed with lapis, and redstone not interacting with each other and two redstone torches, one being dyed blue as well.
I just logged on to suggest being able to run parralel wires without them auto connecting. I was thinking of the addition of a junction block of sorts. The multi-coloring would be excellent to identify multiple circuits in the same area.
GREAT IDEA!!!
Finally someone has actually suggested an alternative Redstone without actually using the words Bluestone, Yellowstone, Greenstone or Purplestone.

Excuse me, but that was my comment you just read there, bub.
Why not just make redstone electricity, red would be positive, and blue negative...?
Why not? Because Minecraft =/= Real Life, no matter what you voted on MinecraftAnonymous.com.
That is just ridiculous. You come onto this post, read the words 'Red' and 'Blue', take in nothing else, and then just post;

Look, I see your point, kid, but you posted something that makes no sense whatsoever. If we were to make Postitive+Negative, then we'd need to put one Positive, then one Negative, then one Positive...

Dude, calm down... I was just checking. Last time I was on the suggestion section, it was from some guy who had never heard of Tale of Kingdoms, BuildCraft, or BetterThanWolves.

Ok, now that is over, constructive criticism time!:
First, this would cause some issues with texture packs because Redstone blocks are greyed out in the game textures. The game itself then goes in and colors the proper areas with whatever shade of red necessary.
However, this is an advantage because with a bit of modification this system can probably be changed to allow the game to use other colors. This would probably be a little bit more computer intensive, though.
Second, the colors should be more expensive than just throwing a bit of dye with Redstone. Not only is that illogical but it would definitely affect game balance. Hmmm... How about...
Oh, I know! First you dilute the dye into a liquid using brewing stand, then you mix it with the Redstone! Perhaps in a cauldron?

I love this idea, it's always a hassle trying to separate things.

I know that Captain Obvious. It's one of the most famous mods. This is a Vanilla Minecraft suggestion based off it.
calm down? I didn't use caps lock or anything :/
Notice I left out dark grey, grey, and white. This is because they are hard to distinguish between.

Um... I'm dumb, so...
You mean that they won't make their way in here, right?
XD
Uh.... Guy? Ever heard of the anti-'there's a mod for that' rule?
