I suggest that Zombies become a little stronger on Hard and Medium difficulty, by making them invulnerable to knockback. This makes it so that fighting zombies requires an open area with a lot of movement possibilities.
Getting backed into a corner by a zombie can be very deadly without armour and a good, enchanted sword.
A group of Zombie PIgmen would be devastating, making the idiots of the Nether learn their lesson all the better.
Arrows will be very important after this. When hitting a zombie doesn't stop it from hitting you, you better have a real good reason to engage it in melee. Gone are the days of herding zombies, and gone are the days of spamming and sidesweeping for survival. Battles will now have to be planned and anticipated.
I agree, zombies are too easy. Zombie pigmen are already hard enough, though.
I have a question, though: would the knockback enchantment still knock them back?
Yes, the knockback enchantment will knock them back.
I don't want to suggest nerfing things that much nowadays, I'm more into adding things that
will prolong the "live in hut" stage of Minecraft so people can savor that experience like
I did back in Alpha
Zombies are just a really bad food and exp source now, I support this. Maybe sprint charging should still be able to knock them back, but no-where near as much as it would any other mob.
