Hi guys. I came up with a great idea for a new biome that I think should be implemented into vanilla. It's called a Savannah Biome (yes, I know it's been suggested before, don't rage)
It would have orange-ish grass and lots of tall grass, with some tall grass growing to be two blocks tall! There would also be thorn bushes that spawn rarely that hurt you when you walk near them, like cacti. Large, dead trees with a few leaves are scattered across the biome.
There are also small ponds and a very small amount of lakes called "watering holes" where mobs in the Savannah congregate, making a great place to get food.
It's hard to grow crops here, because of how hot and dry it is (this could also be in deserts).
There's also a new hostile mob: the Savannah Ocelot. This is an orange, triangle-eared cat similar to a bobcat. They will crouch down in tall grass and will jump of chickens... and you. They can also fish with their paws, so sneak up on them while they're face is looking in the water! Unlike jungle ocelots, they cannot be tamed and will attack you on-sight. At night, they either climb trees or go into Ocelot Caves, small caves on the sides of mountains filled with bones where families of bobcats live and sleep. That is also a great time to sneak up on them.
Savannah ocelots drop ocelot hide and cat teeth. Ocelot hide can be used to craft a new type of armor, called Ocelot Armor! If you wear a full set of ocelot armor, you are invisible to jungle ocelots, making it much easier to tame them! Cat teeth can be used to make spears, which do as much damage as stone swords BUT they can also be thrown! This is how you craft them:

[ ] [ ] = cat tooth [ ] [ ]
And finally, a new neutral mob: gazelles. These mobs are scared of you and will gallop away from you when you get near, much like ocelots. But these mobs don't just run, they hop like real gazelles! Instead of taking steps they leap from block to block, making them hard to hit in a pursuit. There are families of gazelles too. When you attack a family of gazelles, the father gazelle will charge you with it's antlers and knock you back three blocks, and you will take two hearts of damage.
I approve, But if you knew it was suggested why didn't you just chime in on an older thread? .-.
The mods around here think necroing is "better" than reposting threads...
Then again, That's ONE rule I can't help but say "**** the police" to because ALOT of times the original thread was **** and the other person's is MUCH better.
