Right now, Minecart tracks in Mineshafts barely go on any distance. The longest I have ever seen was 9 blocks. How about rarely, the tracks are very long, like go on for 100 blocks or so. And on those long tracks, have a minecart on it somwhere.

well ravines and such rip the mineshafts appart. Also, since the world is randomly generated you cant expect the rails to be consistent. If they were to be added there should be an entrance to the mine so that the player can push out his/her loot.

They don't cut through mineshafts any more, at least to my knowledge. Mineshafts now build bridges under them whenever it crosses a cave or a ravine.

Actually, they still do.

I think the idea is that you have to fix them on your own.

But if the rails aren't all broken up, it takes away from the "abandoned" feel.

It would be a lot easier to get around but you would miss a lot of stuff while riding the cart.

i dont think it would seem that old and abandoned if the most of minecart track is still there
