Some of you may think that there should be glass without tint. You know, those annoying lines. Others may want explosion proof glass for blast shields, when playing around with tnt. Well i have the perfect solution: Soulglass!
Here's how you would obtain it. Go to the nether, shovel some soulsand and smelt it. Simple. Also you can craft soulglass panes, like ordinary glass panes. These will be explosion proof too.
Now this will be quite useful for adventure maps based in test facilities, like portal maps. You'll need a diamond pickaxe and better to mine through soulglass, so there's a downside and an advantage. Yeah, it will be almost indestructable for the purpose of stopping people cheating in adventure maps. What are ya gonna do now, yogscast? There is also another use, using it as a see through blast shield. Or a safe method of nether transport, to avoid getting blown up by ghasts. When it's broken, it will drop as an item.
So thanks for reading, talk about stuff that needs improving and suggest new things.
EDIT: Iron pickaxes can now also break soulglass, but it takes 3 seconds. Diamond pickaxes will still be able to destroy it, this will take only 1 second.
To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
You mentioned it would be useful for adventure maps and blast shields;
however, you forgot that it would also be useful for griefers.
Obsidian and bedrock are useful for greifers, but they're still in the game.

But you can't get bedrock in vanilla survival without commands, and at least obsidian can still be destroyed by anything.
I would definitely support this if any tool could destroy it, though. I've always wanted glass with a high blast resistance.
Oh, ok. I'll make it that iron pickaxes can break it, i was considering it.
