I was Thinking about different tribes or races in survival multiplayer, each with their own strengths and weakness's.
First there would be Humans who would be good at making tool's and such, lived in villages with other humans and are fairly strong and good with both bows and swords but the sword is their preferred weapon.
Next there would be Elves, elves would live mainly in forest and would be quite nimble and good at jumping, their preferred weapon would be the bow and they could craft a special elven bow.
Then there would be Orc's, they would live in the mountains or caves, would be quite slow but very strong and have little knock-back, they would use battle axes.
Werewolves would be another race that lives in small villages, they would be very fast, very good and jumping, very dangerous and be able to see in the dark but they would not be able to craft some items and would have to get them of other players, they would use metal claws or something like that.
Vampires would be very, VERY strong but they would be damaged in sunlight heavily and would start dying unless they drink blood from another player, they would get special teeth caps as weapons? lol.
I think fish-men would be pretty cool too, they would live in the water but be able to walk and see normally under water, they would be able to walk on land for a period of time as well though, 3 minutes maybe?, i think they would use a hook type thing.
And for making the characters look different maybe notch could make a character maker where you could change the different features of your character.
Those are my ideas, please post what you think :smile.gif:

Coal is inefficient. I only use Propane and Propane Accessories.
I'm not sure I like this Idea... I mean, If poeple would have custom skins, how would you Identify them?
Plus there comes the issue of ballancing out the characteristics of each race. More trouble than its woth I think, though I do like the elves.

Remember that even old echoes can create new harmonies.
Who sits down and writes maniacle laughter?
Let's say I choose to be an elf.
Why would I prefer to live in the forest when I could simply dig underground and live there, or build a house out of wood after burning down all the forests on the map?
Why would my "preferred weapon" be the bow, while someone else who decided to be an orc would "use battle axes"?
However, I do like the idea of people affected by time of day -- vampires who hate the sunlight or werewolves who turn beastly when the moon comes out.
They would probably work best in a specialized sort of game mode though.

There are little to no NPC mobs, as all fighting occurs between tribes or they agree to live in peace.
