I know there are a lot of threads on weather, but I had some additional ideas I wanted to share.
Well, currently people are hoping that rain is not toggled anymore and is instead something that occurs randomely and that while it rains, the rain creates water blocks across the map to fill up pits and ditches (and possibly mine shafts and basements).
Well why stop there? What about a sand desert theme in which instead of rain, there are sand storms that create random blocks of sand across the map, eventually covering up entire buildings unless it is taken care of. What about snow that spawns snow blocks that will cover up buildings (And possible snow could become a new material?)
I was also thinking about lava rain for the hell theme, but that would be too cruel.
If you survive, DIAMONDS BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS.
Actually Lonsdaleite (also called hexagonal diamond) is formed from meteor impacts in high carbon areas instead of normal Diamonds and is 58% harder.
Actually that would be an interesting idea, a really rare "weather" would be a Meteor Impact that would destroy a large area but result in a few pieces on Lonsdaleite.

Any other ideas?

But it would only occur in a desert where sand would more than likely never run out.
