Sand should operate a bit like water blocks, let me pitch it to you;
Sand is a fine grain, and is amorphous. If you mined a cave then popped a hole in the ceiling with sand above it, most of it would flood in. I think this could create some interesting scenarios, like filling a dungeon with sand, a sand deathtrap, or many other possibilities or random events. It's not an entirely new game mechanic, but it could be pretty interesting.

Curse PremiumYeah, I was about to mention all the custom servers with their own sand. I like it much better, there's more potential.
