What does V.D.S stand for? Any guesses? No? Well, it's called the:
Village Defense Systems
So far, we only have one defense for Villages, and that is Iron Golems. That's it. The Villagers coward in fear and run or hide in houses, while Iron Golems act like the police and kill of the zombie invasions.
So what if there could be more improved Village Defense Systems? How would that work?
Villagers: They are Villagers obviously. They act normal all day, and are dressed up like ordinary Villagers. But when Night falls, only SOME of them act in defense, like 25% of the population.
Archers: They have quivers on the shoulders, and have a bow in their hands. They stand on top of buildings, and shoot an arrow every 2 seconds, which is pretty fast. It deals 3 hearts on easy. They have 12.5 Hearts, and have Green Shirts.
Warriors: Nothing fancy, just people who know how to wield a sword. They carry Iron Swords crafted carefully by the finest blacksmiths in their Village. They deal 4 Hearts on Easy, and have 15 Hearts, and have Gray shirts on, and sometimes they wear Iron Armor, not a full set though.
Engineers: Not as complex and smart people as the name seems. They are people who can prepare very simple traps and snares to capture enemy mobs. They can make pit traps, trip wires, mud puddles, and fire charges.
Traps:
Trip Wires: Wires which the enemy mobs trip on. Allies are smart enough to not trip on these wires, and the enemy mobs are staggered, and the direct allies can finish them off.
Mud Puddles: Puddles of clay in which slows the Enemy Mobs. It slows down them by 75%. It's used up when 3 Enemies run over it.
Pit Traps: Pits where Enemy Mobs can fall into. When morning comes, Engineers will repair this. It's usually 2-4 blocks deep, and 2 by 2 blocks.
It's really nothing fancy, all basic and simple. Do you think this or certain parts of Village Defense Systems should be added?
