I know backpacks and satchels have been suggested before as items to increase your inventory size. There's a mod for it too. I think, however, that it's a bit overpowered (from what I've seen of the mod). It's like being able to walk around with a portable chest...
What if, as a trade off, you would wear a backpack in place of your chest plate? It would expand your inventory by one horizontal row. Or less, even. It would not add any armor protection. Having extra inventory space would be really useful. Especially useful since the advent of different wooden planks. I suppose it should be crafted from leather... and iron? I don't think it should be available immediately.
I don't know. Just throwing it out there. What do you guys think?
Step 1) Fill up a backpack except for last square
Step 2) Put a backpack in that, open that backpack
Step 3) REPEAT FOR INFINITE INVENTORY!
That's been my argument for every backpacks thread.
No support.
Okay, but because you wear it like armor, you would not be able to stack it... Unless there are more armor slots within the backpack? But that's ridiculous because of your above reasoning and because of physics.
Yes, I can read, and I know other people have suggested this. I just think that my idea is less contrived. There don't need to be superfluous details like additional pockets and customizations to have something as simple as a backpack.
