Same recipes, bones are the main ingredient.
While wearing bone Armour, you have no armour protection, but Skeletons will no longer kill you on sight.
Sort of like the Pumpkin with Endermen.
Now, most of you will say "Derp, this is not important enough to put in Minecraft"
My response is: "Mojang doesn't necessarily care about importance. Did I kick you out of the forum based on the fact that your posts aren't important?"
I had an idea similar (bone armor) except my idea is that it replaces chainmail as the tier between leather and iron.
The skeleton disguise is a nice idea, though, but it needs to have a drawback - eg the drawback of pumpkins is highly limited vision. Maybe other mobs can see you from farther away?
I like this idea, but would the effect only apply to full sets? Maybe each armor piece reduces the distance the skeletons will attack from. Close up the disguise is useless, but at a distance, you look just like a skeleton to other skeletons.
I agree this needs a downside, how about the durability of gold armor, and the armor takes damage when you do, no matter the source. (like from fall damage or whatnot)
Bone armour should be made out of bones, with a leather version of the armour piece in the empty space(middle for hat/legs/boots, top middle for tunic).
Bones are pretty uncomfortable to wear, but are actually quite strong so they should give some defense, or at least have higher durability than leather.
This is a really good idea! There is a game called Towns that has bone armor but it looks really cool and badass and the bone helmet has an attack bonus higher than iron (though armor does not give an attack bonus in MineCraft). If the recipe for bone armour includes a leather armor piece (which is expensive to have to use both), it should have statistics almost as good as iron. Also, if we are making things out of bones, why not include a bone door, bone bed, and make cows have a chance of dropping a bone? I must admit that I think that a single block of wool would be preferred over an entire piece of leather armor.
Actually, I don't think we really need bone armor. Skeletons can only shoot you from 8 blocks away...
...except they have Aimbot (hahaha, I made a stealth funny). They'll almost always hit you.
This is good. The lack of skeletal threat is offset by the fact that you are now very, very weak (no armor=no good defence). It should at least defend as well as leather, though. Otherwise, it seems worse than iron.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I think that it would be difficult coding the game to make yourself "invisible" to skeletons with a special kind of armor. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to make bone armor a scary, cool, creepy and/or badass armor that offers protection somewhere between leather and iron. It would not be as useful as it would be cool, more of a type of way to tell your friends that you love to fight a horde of skeletons (or run around at sunrise avoiding creepers, LOL).
I don't like the skeletons not noticing you. I don't imagine skeletons attack you because you don't look like them. I imagine they have some form of life detection spell, and get you that way. But I kind of like the idea of leather armor studded with bones. A greater variation in armor will add a nice touch to the game.

EDIT: I didnt see that someone asked the same thing above me but still

i like the idea of skeletons not attacking you when you wear it as well.
