I always thought warps in vanilla would be awesome for servers, and also ssp. Here's how I think it could work; using crying obsidian. Crying obsidian was originally supposed to be used the same way as beds, a spawn point. It would be crafted from lapis and obsidian, well, now that we have beds, crying obsidian can be used differently. Immagine creating two blocks of crying obsidian and placing one at say a mob grinder, and another at your house, next, go out and kill a couple dozen endermen. the pearls would be placed in your crafting grid alone to make ender dust. Ender dust works exactly as redstone dust in terms of placement. When placed, ender dust connects to crying obsidian. When you link two crying obsidian blocks with ender dust, they become a warp. Jumping on top of one will take you to the other. Linking more than two causes all connected crying obsidian blocks to explode and the ender dust to vanish. That's how I think warps could work, what do you think?
First off, the crying obsidian wouldn't be used a lot in servers because of the /tp commandment.
But it would be cool for adventure maps.
My answer: MOD IT

A lot of servers prevent tp. I also prefer vanilla.
The ideas are related and meaningless alone, to my knowledge, that rule is redundant in this situation.
Not necessarily. we have ender pearls, portals, etc.
But it would be cool for adventure maps.
