Sorry, didn't realize I was a massive rule breaker
Since I don't believe I should delete this, this is my first idea. And yes, I'm aware of the 1 idea rule.
Random Item Drops
Chain mail has been an uncraftable and unfindable item for a long time now. It has often been used to identify an Admin on servers, as it can be obtained through /give or creative mode... But what if skeletons had chain mail as a random item drop? Just something to consider.
Iron Chests
I thought of this a while ago, and figured that it's such a big add on it would never become a reality. But I'd like to mention it anyway. What if you could make iron chests with golden keys. This way you could lock your chest. It would mainly benefit in SMP, BUT there are plenty of other uses for it.
For example. Iron Chests cannot be blown up. Iron Chests can be used in Adventure maps. Iron Chests can be part of abandoned mines for strongholds.
The item would simply be an iron chest with a lock crafted like so...
[||]
= gold ingot
And there would be a key... Possibly inside them when first placed.
There would be a few problems with this.
Firstly, the amount of data it may take up for servers to have a different numbered key for every iron chest.
Secondly, there would need to be a way to identify the key needed. My idea for this is, when you click on a chest without the key, a chest gui comes up, but it appears empty and is blacked out. In the centre it should say the key number needed. Then, the key itself will be called, 'Key # [insert number here]'
That's pretty much it... It's a big idea and I don't know how much notice it will get but I thought it would be pretty cool.
Another problem is... What about people just breaking them? Yeah...
Adding a specific key for each chest wouldn't take up that much data. Overall I like the Iron chest idea, but the only problem is, most thieves are experienced enough to have a diamond pick and simply destroy it.
Yes yes! I forgot to mention that as another problem! Maybe they'd be unable to be destroyed unless you have the key? :/ Tricky process.
Sorry, but it is against the rules to post a wishlist of unrelated things.
I'm confused... I thought I could post suggestions in the suggestion thread. Is this post really seen as spam or harming anyone? I'll bet all you read was the first paragraph. Shame. I have some alright ideas.

Yeah, they call it wishlisting. I honestly don't see the harm in using one thread to promote two or three things so long are they are all original suggestions. If anything it takes up less room than making multiple topics for every little idea you come up with.

That's what I thought. Tbh, I've kept pretty much all of my time on the MC Forum in SMP Servers or Maps & Modding. I'm not familiar with all the rules. : / Apologies.

Ah but what if only the one who placed the chest may break it? To everyone else it is as hard as bedrock.

Actually, I read the whole thing. Although if you tell me how the two ideas you posted are related, I will replace my earlier post. The problem is multiple unrelated concepts makes it so that they tend to be less detailed.

Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
Please click the dragons, they need to grow. Also, my fully grown dragons can be found in my bio.

That's fine that's fine. The first was just a small idea anyway, so it didn't need much description. Apologies for questioning the rules.

Mmm yes that's a good plan too. Of course, Admins would be able to open and break any chests.
