I have some ideas for five new mobs and a mob behavior type. The mobs are: werewolf, bat, mountain sheep, boar, and aurochs (a wild cow). They will be explained later in this post. The new mob behavior type is Defensive. As you may know, the current mob types are Passive, Hostile, Neutral, and Utility (golems). Defensive mobs will generally avoid or ignore the player, but when the player gets too close (the distance depends on the mob) they will start to attack. Depending on which mob is attacking, they may attack a few times and run away, or attack continously like a Hostile mob. The Defensive mobs will be: werewolf, mountain sheep, boar, and aurochs.
Now let's get to the specific mobs.
WEREWOLF: The werewolf will stand upright and have the body of a human, but with brown fur. Its head will be like a regular wolf, but brown with red eyes, and it will have claws. Certain villagers in villages (this is randomly decided when the world is generated) will turn into werewolves at night. Werewolves will be Defensive and when they are 10 blocks away from the player, they will attack once (dealing 4 hearts of damage) and retreat. Even though they're Defensive, they will hunt and kill villagers, which are easier prey than a player, and also golems will consider them an enemy when in werewolf form. They will have 5 hearts like a villager.
BAT: The bat will be about the size of a chicken, with a brown body and black wings, like many real life bats, but with red eyes. Despite the evil-looking red eyes, it is a Passive mob. It will fly around and sometimes hover, flapping its wings, but it will usually stay 10 blocks from the ground or lower and will only fly higher if attacked or seeking shade. It will seek shade in the daytime, but won't burn in sunlight. Since it can fly, it will be a lot better at finding shade than a skeleton or zombie. Bats will spawn at light level 7 or below, and have 3 hearts. There will also be two variations of the bat, the vampire bat and fruit bat. Vampire bats will be the same as regular bats but Hostile and with a black body, instead of brown. They will deal 2 hearts of damage, making them a weak enemy. Fruit bats will look like regular bats but bigger, with a 2-block wingspan. They can be tamed with apples or melon slices. After they're tamed, melon slices heal them, and apples breed them. They will follow the player but won't fight, swim, or fall into the void if the player does. They can be made to sit, and will do so near the portal if you go to the Nether or End.
MOUNTAIN SHEEP: The mountain sheep will look like a normal sheep but with ram's horns and light brown wool. They will spawn in the Extreme Hills biome or on mountains (if those are added to Minecraft). Mountain sheep will be Defensive and attack the player when they are 15 blocks away or closer. They will attack twice before running off. They will have 8 hearts and when they attack, they will sprint at the player, and when they hit the player, they will deal 4 hearts of damage and knock the player back 3 blocks. This can be deadly on an Extreme Hill, because it can knock players off a cliff. Also, the mountain sheep will jump 2 blocks high and take no falling damage. If a player is holding wheat, the sheep will not attack, and if you feed the wheat to it, its horns become shorter and it becomes just like a regular sheep: can be bred with sheep, sheared like sheep, and have as much hearts as a sheep.
BOAR: The boar will look just like a pig, but with red eyes, tusks and brown fur. It will have 5 hearts like a pig, and will be Defensive. It will attack when the player is 10 blocks away and deal 3 hearts of damage. Just like a mountain sheep, it will not attack a player holding wheat, and if the wheat is fed to it, its eyes will become black and it will be just like a pig (just like a mountain sheep becomes like a sheep).
AUROCHS: Just like the boar and mountain sheep are "wild versions" of pigs and sheep, the aurochs is a wild version of a cow. It will have 5 hearts like a cow, but be brown and have larger horns. It will be Defensive and attack the player when it's 10 blocks away, dealing 3 hearts of damage and knocking the player back 3 blocks. It won't attack a player with wheat, and if fed wheat it will have smaller horns and become just like a cow.

I'm going to mash signature stuff together: I tested 100% positive for MC addiction, I'm a black knight, support crappy trees, my color is red, and microsoft destroys to a cactus.
Cool!
Perhaps the wild animals should be the male 1s protectiong the females. I'd love to be attacked by a hoard of boars after killin a pig XD ROFL ROFL
Yeah, that would be cool, but first Jeb would have to make male and female animals. They're all genderless right now.

the only problem with that is that if there are males and females it would make breeding harder, unless you want yourself a gay little pig XD
