No. An endercorruption beam would be better. It has no effect on blocks but makes Endermen hostile towards you if it hits them and it gives you a black potion effect that makes you take damage from water. If you jump into the overworld portal before the effect wears off, your inventory is cleared and reduced to one block, you can pick up and place only one block at a time, and your player model is turned into an Enderman, with all the vulnerabilities of an Enderman, including water.
