I think that the bottom of the sea should have much more life, but for now, I'd like to see those Light blue Flowers from Pocket Edition scattered on the sea floor giving off level 15 light.
It would be kinda cool, like deep sea stuff that has natural glowing, very exotic and strange.

flowers on the ocean floor?
maybe seaweed, coral and other sealife. but no flowers.
Hee hee, you wanted to nerf beds. Ooh, maybe the cyan flowers can make single-use sleeping bags (along with diamonds of course) that can only be used while on fire! That'll teach those bed-using scrubs.

Protip: Mojang doesn't like adding entirely new things that often. Re-using the flower sprite is not only logistical, it also is interesting.
Using strange glowing flowers on the bottom of the ocean is creative in my opinion. Minecraft isn't necessarily on Earth.
However, you make a valid point that it would be illogical to place flowers on the bottom of the ocean, and your image macro explaining displeasure of the idea serves as fine sustenance for your point.
Okay, flowers, are NON-SOLID BLOCKS. Due to that, the rest in this block that isn't flower itself is air, and this could be ugly underwater, because water is FLUID BLOCK, and it cannot spread into non-solid blocks. So this flower could be magical air pocket underwater. Of course, turning this air in flower block into water could fix this problem. But it looks very ugly above water!
I kinda support, but this should work before added to vanilla Minecraft.
Well, there are already big rectangular "bubbles" underwater I've been noticing anyway, and having the Flower enclosed in Air actually seems kind of interesting in my opinion. It makes it seem like the flower makes it's own air supply to live underwater.
I'm not sure if anyone else sees the game like this, but I like looking at game glitches and seeing a creative new aspect on the game with them :/

Lol, the bed thing was an April Fools joke
