I was playing minecraft and I was safe in my house, but I just kept thinking I wish mobs could break blocks! Then I thought of a solution, what if creepers get an AI update (like zombies) and when they cant find a path to you... they blow up? This would be awesome! Now mobs would be able to breach your walls! It would make minecraft a lot more strategic and awesome all around! And to avoid people fussing about it being to hard it could be hardcore mode exclusive.
If you like this Idea, please leave a comment or tweet this link to Notch and Jeb so they can see it! Or make a mod for it, Ill totally play it!
I really like this, but maybe have it only on hard difficulty like with zombies breaking doors. Because I know that if there isn't a way to turn t off, people will flip **** about it.

Check out my channel for awesome redstone tutorials!
Agreed. Although, having said that, I'd exploit the **** out of it. Build tower with no stairs to the upper levels, AFK there for ten minutes at a time... drop vines after ten minutes, go collect loose dirt/stone from the hole underneath, rinse and repeat XD
Mod ideas in my profile info! Send me a message or post in one of the threads if you're interested.

There's "strategic", and there's "creeper spawns in a small cave and completely destroys your house without you being able to do anything about it"
This is the latter.
I don't believe that "I will stab you with bullets" is an appropriate response, so let me be a little more polite.

No, I'm sorry. April first and all that. In all seriousness, though, this is one of the worst ideas I've seen...and it's not even original. One of the fundamental, core mechanics of Minecraft is this, You can build a shelter to make yourself safe.
Making mobs that intentionally destroy your shelter would directly contradict this. Worse, it would make building anything a bad idea, as you couldn't accomplish anything. Ask a simple question. Is adding a mechanic that randomly gets you killed when you are playing the game correctly a good idea?
Did you answer no? Congratulations. You're sane.
If you answered yes, however, I suggest going through the AVGN or Irate Gamer videos, and making certain that your game collection contains only titles they have featured. Apparently, you'll enjoy them.

If you read what I said at first I said "it could be hardcore exclusive" this means only for hardcore mode.

It would only be "hardcore exclusive" like zombies breaking down doors. People who dont like it can play on easy or peaceful, and I do enjoy incredibly hard games from time to time that the AVGN reviews (it is hardcore mode afterall). As for it being strategical, I meant this as in you could choose what you wanted to protect your house with, do you want to make your house floating? Or with obsidian walls, or with redstone mechanics? I just wanted to add a little bit more challenge to minecraft.

This way they don't just explode in a cave under your house.
These materials because they're transparent, Meaning the creeper KNOWS that it's an opening to your house.
