Yes I did, you possibly didn't read my post how i meant to say it - I was saying instead of having dyed sand as an output of using the cauldron or adding dyes and then needing to use a furnace ...to have a different (un-placeable) block that looks just like clay balls almost but for different colours so we don't have to have a whole other set of blocks needed to add (coloured sand).... and the second part of my post was saying instead of having the cauldrons, to just add dye to glass directly in a crafting table - that way we don't have double the placeable blocks needed to add and don't need to use a furnace. But i do like the idea of having colored glass Also you probably meant I missed the part of the cauldrons and glass - but I did read that, and that is a nice touch - It just personally, I think dying a stack of glass like that at a time seems a bit too easy - maybe should be harder to do, since in real life stained glass is way more pricey.
Actually, MySanity is kinda right, you may have read the whole post but you didn't quite understand some of it. Basically the cauldron is a completely different crafting recipe than the colored sand one. you use the cauldrons to dye the glass directly not the sand because when powder dies are mixed with water they can be used to stain solid objects. (ie stained glass) The colored sand crafting recipe works by mixing powdered dye with sand and when heated they infuse and the glass itself is colored all the way through.
So they are 2 completely different methods to getting colored glass not the other way around. -_^
But I know what this means, I probably have to make more diagrams :/
Your plan is simply amazing! With all the new lighting, the glass would be a huge addition to the game. They will have to unbore Minecraft and make it more appealing. Now the villages church windows could be stain glass! Your diagram makes perfect sense too. A lot of diamonds to you! :3

I totally think this is a great idea! My brother would love this! He loves making Cathedrals (big churches) on Minecraft and I think this would be really cool to use as stained glass for windows! Minecraft should totally add this!
I do love this idea. If you'd like to take it a step further, I think being able to have proper, varied stained-glass windows would be great. I'm imagining that making glass panes with multiple differently-colored glass blocks would create a multicolored glass pane. Texture packs could even distinguish different sections to be dyed different colors, allowing immense amounts of customization. They could use the same kind of system that Fireworks do to save the information of what glass colors were used in making them.
support, how many people have to say support before this is added into the game?
It's no longer a matter of how many as of how LONG we have to say it. This suggestion rakes in approximately 4 supporters a day, which is more than enough for Mojang to realize how wanted and vanilla-fitting this suggestion in its fullest actually is. We just have to wait for them to realize it.
How many supporters are there anyways? Is anyone keeping track?

just search through the 2013 posts and write down all the supporters
I'm glad this is getting more support. All the more reason for Mojang to get off their lazy butt and finally rewrite the horrifically broken lighting engine. It desperately needs to be rewritten.
Also, that blue cave looks incredibly sexy. Just sayin'
Why not just have the glass ready blank then craft it with dye instead of having stupid colored sand? Having it this way will cause less lag and faster loading screens.
It actually wouldn't cause any changes in lag or loading times regardless. The thing that could cause lag however is colored light.
Anyway that's not the point. There are other crafting recipes that I listed in the op other than "stupid Colored sand". Since you clearly didn't read the entire OP please re-read the OP and I'm sure you will be satisfied with the other option.

My ice cave would look so much cooler if beacons gave off blue light...
