Stained glass has been something I've wanted for a while. Coloured torches would also be awesome. They need to rework the light engine so light can have colours. This would be good for redstone torches, so they can emit the colour their name implies.
Omg, I totally agree with that statement on colored torches, we need those as well!
Ideas:
Multicolor Glass: well, it has 2+ colors! Would look nice
Glowing Color Glass: for people who don't want to make it with glowstone!
Redstone Activated Glowing Color Glass: Glass would emit light only when flipped on!
This is such a great idea! I think it would be really great, especially for the people who like to build "churches". It would also be a great alternative to making images out of colored wool because you add backlighting to it
Coloured glass would be awesome but for me just coloured sand would be awesome, why you ask?
well for instance you want a wall that if you flip a switch it disapears and then using sand as an entity making into a spawner so that if you were to die it would respawn the wall. Thats the simple method lol it works its just a red wall would suit what I'm doing at the moment.
Anyways Yeah I support it, but make sure you can dye Sand otherwise I won't lol.
I like the cauldron method better. I support! Also crystals might be added to the planned list in Mojang (Those green things in the first picture.) I read that in the Planned Features in the Minecraft Wiki.
I approve! Colored light and colored glass could inspire people to create beautiful objects. They would also make wonderful Creative Mode structures! Good job on this epic idea!
Oh well the cauldron idea is pretty good but then if you think about it why not dye sand while your dyeing the glass lol yeah I just really want dye-able sand
this would be much better red lol

Not really sure if Sethbling realizes his statue maker filter is broken since the 1.4.6 update but I mean if it wasn't (or if I'mjust not using it properly or that it doesn't act like sand) then I'd use it for my curtains.

I still think dye-able sand would be useful in some cases like how wool is dye-able sand could be the gravity affected equivalent.
Awsome idea! you can make colored domes with a creeper face and you can still see through the creeper face. blue light just cooc. possibly you could use coal/charcoal to make black dyedsand to make black dyed glass to make a room creepier than a creeper (if thats possible..). Great Idea.
but, could they implement both colored sand AND the use of cauldrons? i mean what if you already had glass and WHOOP you could dye it straight from the cauldron instead of cranking out some new sand to dye, but at the same time, you could go and collect sand and dye it!
implements colored sand, colored glass, colored light of course, and a new use for cauldrons! may be a bit much.. or maybe not.
Mojang already knows about this topic. Now it's just a matter of getting enough support to prove that reworking the light engine would be worth it. -_^

But I also like the cauldron idea; it would give cauldrons more uses as well.

Woop. Unimportant stuff here.

Retired StaffI'm fairly certain they're working on that.
Also, support.
