it's working Did you use the code I posted in the OP?
Thanks for your support!
there are innovative solutions Mojang could do to solve some of those problems. For example, all multi-colored blocks of the same category (IE wools and sand/ sandstone) could be contained in collapsible menus. This would clean up the space used in creative and it would be much more intuitive.
Also, if I were mojang I would color the colored blocks including Wool in code. That way, it would save space on the terrain.png; you would only need one texture for each object with a neutral color.
These are only some solutions, there are so many more ways of going about this.
I was just thinking about this. It would be very possible to make colored glass using no extra id's(using damage value) and using an average color of the current wool textures and tint the current glass texture accordingly. A bit more complicated, but it guarantees compatibility with texture packs, doesn't use up item codes or require terrain.png space.
I was just playing Minecraft and had a very similar idea. I wanted it with glass panes but, it should have both. I 100% support this idea and am now switching my banner.
Wow this is so weird, A week ago I was playing with ice and loved the blue tint but wished it didn't melt, like if there was colored glass... The past week the same idea has been knocking around in my head and I look on here and almost all of my thoughts have been documented by someone already.
A few posts back I expressed how easy the actual glass would be to implement without adding any block id's nor use a single terrain.png spot, but the colored light... I thought of that too but there are a few things that might keep that idea from getting implemented. First, it changes the feel of the game, possibly in a direction that the mojang developers do not want, and second, it would require quite a bit of code rewriting, as the light color is static as far as i know.
You're willing to add 32 new blocks in the game just like that? Jeb wont.
No. only 1; sandstone stairs. The rest can be colored entirely in code and they should be (including colored wool). They can be accessible through a drop down system in the creative menu. All like-objects with different color arrays should be stacked in dropdowns instead of broken up into separate objects. This would save space on terrain.PNG, Creative menus, and it would be more intuitive to use than the current system.
Sigh* it seems I will also have to make an illustration of this concept since I find myself repeating it over and over again...
The only reason I didn't include it is because using dropdowns in the inv can be considered separate topic entirely.
Thanks! You mean my avatar, right? It's actually from a drawing I did a while back. The drawing was fan art of a character I used to play in a game called Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (which probably no one here remembers )
This is good. Although what I have to say probably has already been said by others, I will talk.
I think that the lighting colors already would work, as light from different items can create different hues, via a .png of lighting colors. If they simply added a section with each color, like a color wheel, this would be possible. Also, full color televisions of redstone would be awesome!
Colored Light? Amazing Idea! This Can Not Only Expand Decor And In Game Material, But Modding Will Be Able To Ride The Color Light Train. If Certain Modders Get Their Hands On This, It Will Work Wonders For The Modding Community. But Forget Modding For Now, I Want To Help You Make This Possible. Your Creativity Is Off The Charts!!!
Very good idea. Will sunlight passing vertically through colored glass be colored? Can ambient light coming through colored glass be colored as an average of the blocks? Just a few additional thoughts. This will go very nicely along side Eloraam's lamp blocks from redpower. I hope she fixes the mod for the light to be colored. But that is a mod, colored glass would be good as a basic game feature.

I loved that game. I played as a Yuke (powerful magic plus invulnerable defense ability is awesome.) Very nice drawing, BTW.
The multiplayer was a bit annoying though, so I ended up playing solo most of the time. It's a bit unfortunate that you stop receiving letters after long enough and can't send any more stuff back home, otherwise I probably would have been addicted to that game even longer. (I played to around year 35 before I decided to beat it.)
Edit: I suppose I should add something on topic. Would using hue, saturation, and brightness be a better system than using RGB values? Brightness could easily be tied into the light value and desaturating colors would be useful for white light, but are blended hues harder to calculate?

Get it it's worth it.

yes, it is the platform MC was meant to run on. You will not be disappointed with PC; especially for gaming. -_^

Think before you speak grasshopper

Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
Ahh snap that's good!
I wish I could draw like that.
I'm so jelly right now..
Well, White light is actually comprised of many different colors of light. That's why we have rainbows after all
So it makes more sense for the mixed light to be white, if that's what you were getting at.
