I think this would make switching between skins a lot easier, but they would have to change things around a bit. From what I've seen, the skins are based on your Minecraft account and not on your computer.

Not necessary, the built in skin changer could automatically upload your skin to minecraft.net instead of doing it manually.
We definitely need built in launcher skin changer.
In-client skin changer as opposed to in-game skin changer...thank you so much.
A lot of people suggest some kind of wardrobe item for changing in the game, but the need to change in the game is so incredibly small that is has zero use. At least this suggestion simplifies skin changing without being pointless.
