My suggestion is so animals don't drop experince. What I think is that when you kill a sheep or cow, you shouldn't get experince because they don't attack back, they just run. It's a bit weird to get rewarded to a fight you already know who will win. Even though I like playing in peaceful mode, I just don't think killing an animal that doesn't hurt you in any way is fair. So I hope this gets implemented into the game.
sheep eats grass
steve strikes with sword
sheep unknowingly dodges
steve is enraged
steve uses sprinting strike
sheep unknowingly dodges again
sheep wants hug
sheep accidently pushes steve off cliff
sheep wins!

It gives hardly any as is, I mean, you could kill ten animals and not get from level 5 to level 6. I know because I've done it. Also, you are suggesting that we waste swords away, with the only reward being the animal drops, which are inconsistant, at best?

For backwards time travel to be possible, wouldn't every instant in the universe have to be stored somewhere, or time to be something physical you could travel through? Either way doesn't work with the current laws of physics.

You get the drops from the animal at the expense of the sword. Do you really also need XP from it? Also, getting from level 5 to level 6 takes a lot of orbs. Besides, who cares if they only drop a little? You're still getting XP for killing an animal that can't even put up a fight.

I think that the experience should stay as is - if you swing a sword hitting something ten times would you be better at swinging a sword than you were the first time? Probably.
But maybe after you have X amount of experience sheep, cows, pigs and other non-aggressive mobs stop giving experience?
It's more like: Steve hits animal with wooden sword twice before it can run, Steve wins.
Or: Steve shoots animal with bow from 30 blocks away, animal dies instantly, Steve wins.
And at least: Steve hits animal 3 times, then it starts running annoyingly, then Steve repeats until the animal dies.

Anyway, the point is, that animals drop like 2 XP as it is. Also, how many of you consistantly use enchantments in such a way that 2 XP once every 10-30 minutes would make that much of a difference. I personally hardly use it at all. Also, I never see anyone else using them.
