Before you flame stating the obvious that the purpose of a creeper is to destroy anything next to it... Certain adventure maps that you have created could be ruined very easily with a single creeper explosion.
I'm not sure if this is going to be implemented in the "adventure mode" but the ability to stop creepers from destroying your maps, only allowing the player to be killed/hurt without destroying the terrain. This would not only stop them from destroying your precious creations, but it would also stop a creeper from creating a short-cut, or making a completely impassible area - ruining your adventure.
Looks like the usual suspects are here to comment first. This is a great idea. It makes sense because as anyone who watches the Yogscast knows, creepers hate their lives so very badly. This can ease the pain of being forced to constantly rebuild an adventure map when your intricate redstone creation is sabotaged by the blast radius of an explosion. for you.
I agree. Although usually when you have to fight a creeper, it explosion wouldn't cause much harm to the map overall. If it ever got to the point where a creeper's explosion could ruin the map, it would be encased in obsidian.
You cannot control when or where you will meet the deadly green. For adventure type maps this is an excellent suggestion.
Though to add my $0.02 and build upon your suggestion; I'd like to see an adventure map option/mode that, when enabled, would prevent creepers from being so destructive. This could be toggled either at the map generation options when creating a map or added in as a "difficulty" option.

Well if that the case, then the creepers should be like off the "Griefer Creepers" mod where they blow up and shot arrows all around instead then actually exploding.
Usually, where a creeper explosion matters, mob spawns can be controlled in other ways.
Explain how else to control them (other than with light levels). I was hoping to have an almost completely dark section, but I fear the worst in the ways of mobs.
Is it possible to have a peaceful mode and only egg spawned creatures would be present. Problem: making them aggressive in this mode.

meaning: (Peaceful, easy, normal, hard, adventure.)
or:
(creative, survival, hardcore, adventure)
