Okay, so right now, we have only 2 world types, normal and superflat, one is mainly for survival, the other creative. But I have grown bored of both of them, I like dungeons and strongholds, but they take AGES to find, and you can just bash your way through them destroying both the blocks and the spawners, so I thought of a new World type, Dungeon.
The Start
With this world type on, you will spawn in a small room of mossy cobble with a chest near you, it will contain your starting items, which is a stone sword, a leather hat and a pair of leather boots. There would be an iron door with a stone pressure plate in front of it, step on the plate and walk in, and from there, your adventure begins........
The Obstacles
In this world will be many mob spawners, spawning your everyday nighttime mobs (with the exception of the enderman and the creeper) and slimes. Along with the normal mobs blazes and angry wolves would commonly spawn for extra challenge.
The Simple Mechanics
In this world type, which is starting to sound more like a game mode, will ALWAYS have hostile mobs on, even on peaceful, which is not even able to be put on in this game-mode. Blocks would break at an incredibly slower rate, and it would only be able to be sped up by tools, which would have their durability weakened on this mode.
How to Finish
Okay, so I'm not too sure about adding an end to this mode, but I was thinking of having a boss room, with a new mini-boss protecting an end portal, and it would only spawn after a certain amount of blocks, preventing you from spawning in a boss room. I will probably add the boss idea later, but for now im thinking of a centaur type thing.
This should become a map instead because minecraft is endless and what about other resources??? you didn't say anything about trees

I said I'm not sure about this mode having an end, so it could be endless, and mini bosses could just give you cool loot. ANyway spawners would be hidden under blocks.

it sounds like a good idea... but it would be kinda cool if u used a giant(were tested in survival test), or something like that for a miniboss (its simple and has 50 hearts)
I agree with jesusismyfrien,d a mini boss to end the 'mode' would be awesome! In addition to this, I would love a puzzle mode, so there is a fighting mode and thinking one. Btw, making weapons have a durability on them is very hard to code.
It's a very nice idea. A couple of suggestions, in my more recent suggestions I've noticed they're more popular, I think I know why:
1. Example pictures -'could you build a couple of example rooms? Because its a small topic hide them in a spoiler.
2. Neat organization - you already grave this, congrats.
3. More details in spoilers - stuff like dungeon loot, miniboss attack/health, etc.
4. (optional) if you know how, use something like techne or sketchup to model a miniboss or 2 to show an example.
Wait, no sappling, if you lose your tools then, that's it? ( Well, not that's it, you can always fight 100 skeletons with your fists. )
I liked the idea, but I would never add an end or a mini-boss, just survive as much as you can.
