I just find it stupid and boring how little and explosion moves an entity. TNT cannons are annoying to make as you have to put racks and racks of TNT to shoot it far. Being almost hit by a ghast fireball is no problem because there is barely any knockback. Bombs don't make people fly away like they should.
I think they should just increase how much an explosion moves any entity.
Sooo...not a request to up the damage. Not asking it to destroy more blocks. Just wanting it to have more force behind it, so that being caught in an explosion actually feels like getting yourself blown up?

Yes, explosions are wasted right now with their minimal knockback.
A funneling effect for explosion force would be awesome as well. For example: Player stacks TNT into an area surrounded by obsidian, with and outlet running in one direction. The explosion's force is trapped by the obsidian and forced outward in one direction, greatly increasing the knockback and destruction effect on anything it hits beyond the vent.
Because hey, let's face it: Who doesn't want to make a 50 block TNT cannon and funnel the force into a single block rail launcher? XD

If anyone wants to port/remake this, feel free to do that! Or don't. It's up to you, really.
I think they always did, at least starting in 1.4beta.
