I have an idea that ties together all the disparate elements of minecraft - becuase the Endermen are interdimensional parasitic entities who are feeding off of the intelligence of the villagers!
Once you go to The End and kill the Enderdragon, all Enderman are then warped and imprisioned into The End and they dissapear from the main world.
Then when you go back to the main world villagers are suddenly smart and they start chopping wood, building houses, mining ore, fishing and farming... and as a reward, you get to use any materials they collect for free! Slowly, their villages would expand into bustling metropolises.
All you have to do is build them a warehouse or something for them to store the materials, and you would have an endless supply of materials to build with.
Don't you think this is the greatest idea ever??
So - Notch - hire 50 more developers immediately and get on it!
I just think they need to have some continuity... like, why are there endermen and villagers what do they do what's the backstory, how do the different realms relate to one-another.... By "Endgame" i mean there should be a change in gameplay style after you defeat the ender dragon. There should be some change in game mechanics that makes it worth while to go through all that trouble of getting to the end... some over-arching storyline and goal. That was what my idea was about - solving this conundrum of disparate game elements by connecting the endermen and villagers somehow in the plot. But I guess that leaves out the Nether...

An in-game lore would destroy Minecraft. Part of the fun is for every player to think of their own story.

That's simply horrible. They'll take the player's playing space and world, something that not only is in itself a bad idea, but also an idea Notch himself hates.

Absurdly overpowered. Did you really think this through?

First, self-praise won't get you anywhere.
Second, no it's a terrible suggestion.
While story elements aren't necessarily a bad idea (WHY am I fighting this dragon boss for its egg?!), the story you've suggested is...Well, just awful. In my opinion, of course.

Comment below.
While this idea seems [somewhat] logical, I don't support it. It seems kind of pointless.
Not really, they're smart enough to go inside when zombies are out and build robots
But if you get all the supplies the villagers have, here's an idea.
Either make it so the villagers get not-useful resources, like wood and coal,
Or just make the enderdragon harder to kill.

See my post. It would ruin Minecraft.
Yes, that's a fact.
Why? I said story elements are not necessarily bad. Your opposing opinion will do exactly nothing to change that.
"Part of the fun is for every player to think of their own story."
Hey, I don't mean to change your opinion, just present my argument. No need to be rude.
