clocks are a nice addition to the game, but hardly anyone uses them unless they have a underground base. if you could hang a clock on the wall like a painting, i think much more people would make them and use them. what do you think
It would be good for mines and houses if you don't have windows but should it be powered by redstone (eg. levers torches) because it uses redstone in the crafting recipe and if you use a lever and turn it off, leave it off, and then you turn it on (night to day) it would go to the time of day that it is.
I don't think I've used a clock since beds were introduced. Making them into furniture (a two-tile tall grandfather clock would be neat) would be awesome.
I don't think this is exactly redundant. Although, yes, item frames make it possible to have clocks on the wall, but its in an item frame, maybe it's just me, but I think mounting a clock in a top item frame is a bit strange, maybe even ugly. Having the clock itself would be quite pretty, and you could even have a grandfather clock! The way I see it working, is you could just right click to mount clocks in walls. The grandfather clock would be a frame, and then you would right click it with the clock to set the clock in there. Now, of course, grandfather clocks have a pendulum, along with those little weights. I think these should be separate as well, right click on the grandfather clock to add them. Now, yes, this is almost entirely athestetic, but it stil looks good, and it fits the theme of MineCraft. We could even make it so you would have to reset the weights every so often
We're all friends here... Except for the walrus in the corner, he spits at passerby.

You just necro'd a topic without adding worthwhile discussion... Good job...
Maybe something like a grandfather clock would work better?
