I think we all know the end feels incomplete, even for a boss room. But what I find funny is that in a game where you can do so many things the end boss battle only tests two attributes, combat and the ability to break glass-like blocks.
I think we can start with the fact that dragons breath something deadly, weather it be fire, ice, or a weird interstellar portal goop. Make it have at least more attacks than it already does! Also, it's an ENDER-dragon. Shouldn't it teleport?
Oh, and how about there being a special mineral in the end that only a weapon made from that metal can hurt it? Yeah, try and mine minerals while being attacked by a dragon and an army of really tall things that like to make you die, oh, and they can teleport... I think we're getting somewhere!
Anyway, those are just some suggestions, I hope you guys come up with cool ideas too!

It's a flying dragon, there doesn't need to be anything complicated to defeat it. Shoot it in the face with arrows.

Avoiding the dragon is easy enough, mining a couple materials real quick to make a weapon wouldn't add a challenge.
I don't support a material in the end, since you can only explore that little island, and it's special ability should be able to go through anything, even endstone, but excluding obsidian, then it could go underground and give the player a heart attack because he doesn't know from where it will strike next.

Um, what I said is the new elements that the Enderdragon makes should be implemented in the Hardcore mode too.
The challenge isn't surviving the end. It's reaching the end.
this right here is the problem. beating the enderdragon should be twice as hard as getting to it, if you ask me. i enjoy reading suggestions on how to make it more difficult, and approve of almost all of them! this one included in that.

Just because endermen teleport, doesn't mean the enderdragon should too. What about the ender prefix makes you think everything ender should teleport?

Be much better than generic fire breath, And go with the sorta reality distorting theme he has going on...
