I have a suggestion to the developers. The addition of a type of White Marble would help me in the construction of some of the cities I build. Right now, the greatest use is for me and my construction of Marinas Tirith in a less confusing manner, And iron does not work too well, according to your texture pack.
Marble would be a natural deposit, and made by smelting smooth stone into liquid rock.
Molten Marble is represented by lava

You then make a circle of water buckets around the molten rock, or you throw the item into water, whereas there will be a hissing sound, and the rock will turn into marble.
You can color it by mixing the molten rock with a dye, creating a colored lava, and then cooling it.
----------- and then:-- Equals:-- -----------
Blue wool represents dye, and The diamond block represents colored lava, and stone represents marble.
After breaking it using a pickaxe, it will yield 2 half blocks of marble (Can be colored). Melt these down again, and use a 1:1 ratio with water to remake a full block.
+ = and
This would make marble an amazing block to create.
Tile would be a paste-able design. You would import a design into a folder, and it would be possible to create. this would allow for a wallpaper-type application that can only be removed by using a bucket of paper stripper.

I support so much that I cant possibly name it all. I tried and passed the 255 character limit with 533 characters total.

Might be too complicated for a complete newbie.
You know, though, you could just edit the original post and put this in.
Not only should they add marble, but also other modern building materials (wood tiling, carpet, granite, adobe, concrete, etc.). This would make creating certain structures easier, as you would have more to work with.
