Okay, so you know how pistons can face in any direction, depending on the location of the player when placed?
Well, what if dispensers could do that?
Basically, when you place them from above, they face towards you. Same with from below.
Pretty simple idea, I think.
EDIT: I just thought of this. What about the gravity for when you fire an item out of an upwards-facing one? Would it just appear on top, straight on the dispenser, without being launched up at all, or actually go up and get a little distance into the air? For arrows and things that actually go far distances, it would go in the air a good amount. Fire charges might go up infinitely, I guess. That would be a problem (usually).
Absolutely! Now I can have that arrows-literally-flying-from-all-directions trap I've always wanted! Plus, you could shoot arrows into the sky and have them rain down like some medieval siege movie. I support.
