I always wonderered why minecraft only had normal, desert/plain villages.
It always occured to me that these villages should have new structures and types, Maybe. . JUST Maybe
Mojang made a new Minecraft village structure type? Like Jungle villages, Wooden homes on the jungle tree tops with bridges linking to homes and parks with Ocelot pelt clothing and vine crowns or such? Even snow villages, eskimos with furry leather and wolf pelt clothing with iglues and such, Or maybe even swamp villagers with Croc or Vine clothing, with vine covered stone and wood homes. with farms of chicken even!
All I'm trying to say is that Mojang needs Biome specific villages with different villager textures.
I'm pretty sure a good amount of people would like this even if they did not mind.
Minecraft would look much more fun.
Looking much more fun does not mean it would be more fun. The original villages are far from complete. We do not need to add more at this time.
That being said, if after villages, villager AI, and seiges were completed, biome-specific variants were added (snow houses for tundra, treehouses for jungle), I would not object. The villagers themselves needn't change so much.

I'm going to agree here. I myself have proposed a lot of aesthetic changes for villages in the past. Not just in new types for different biomes, but having variations and procedurally generated addons for different building types, and even rare structures that may or may not generate for any given village. However, I cannot deny that villages themselves are still in a very rough and unfinished state. So, while this is certainly a good idea for the future, I hope that AI behaviours (along with any new game mechanics) are given priority.
I was thinking the same thing. Desert villages should be built out of sandstone. And every biome should have a village. They are too rare
Especially since I pretty much always start out in a swamp or a snow biome, finding a village is a pita!

One chants out between two worlds: "Fire - Walk with me."
