I'm not saying it's the worst thing in the word (maybe close too) but why even have it if I'm just looking down the back of my charters head? Some added functionality would be amazing, like maybe (don't kill me when I say this) an over-the-shoulder style camera? Scroll in and out? I think it's really cool with the snap shot you can get some crazy top down views but its crashes after a little but. Come on this would be awesome!
Yeah I mean how hard can it be to just adjust the camera a few inches to the right?
I think as it is, it's not too bad.. but you do bring up some good points
and I see room for improvement as well. Moving the camera would be a huge
bonus! It would allow a much higher level of functionality to the 3rd person
camera, however I think moving it to the right or left would not be the solution.
People have preferences, and it could be disorienting if they HAVE to use
one side they don't like. (maybe an option to change from left to right would
solve this) I think a more universal soloution would be to place the camera higher
and have it tilt down, so rather the "over the shoulder" its over the head..
in summary, good points but I disagree with your soloution.
*EDIT: +1'ed as I haven't seen anyone else mention this great idea.. :biggrin.gif:

Yeah I just love the Metal gear solid 4 over the shoulder view, and you were able to go from right to left and I'm sure they could add the over head one too. It was such a tease to bring back the experimental camera controls in the new snapshot and if they just added on to those a little more then anyone could make any camera angle they wanted
I think we should have a fallout-style camera system, where we can hold a key to zoom and rotate, and easily switch back and forth, without the conflicting face view. (just rotate it to look at you).
