Put a bottle into crafting grid.
Place a gold nugget into the crafting grid.
Receive Plugged Bottle.
Go underwater.
Lose some air health.
Hold Plugged Bottle in hand.
Receive Air from bottle.
Bottle fills with water.
You cannot drink water while underwater.
You cannot craft this bottle into a Plugged bottle again, it already has water in it.
Hooray, we now have a "scuba" system that fits into Minecraft's general theme.
However, I think if anything the games main problems should be fixed prior to the adding of anything.

I play a lot on OniCraft, with several of my friends. We really like to build industrious semi-vanilla cities, make them reach a point of near self-sustenance, and then sacrifice the profited items to the Gods.
A real life metal ingot would crush a bottle just by being set on top.
So that you actually have to make progress in the game before you can scuba dive.
Minecraft is not real life.
And he asked ASIDE from that, why a gold nugget?
Plus, why should players need gold to scuba dive? The water has literally nothing worthwhile in it so why not just give players the potential to do this early on?

It sounds scary but it's kinda neat.
Oh, also, I make weird music.

But the suggestion is good.
