What i have been thinking was that, what if the unused mob Giant was a boss! You have to find the portal with the giant like the end portal with the enderdragon. When you go through, you spawn in a nethery type world thats has fire and lava and with these EVERYWHERE and a bit of these and 1 giant . To kill the giant, you must destroy it's tower made out of these and these with a potion generator (sounds sort of like the enderdragon world :dry.gif:). When its destroyed (the potion generator), the tower then starts to explode like there is TNT outside of the tower , then 1/4 of the giants health is damaged. Also the skeletons (i like using the little avatars, its fun to use it :tongue.gif:) will all die and the zombies will die as well but, they will spawn, just not that much. When the giant dies, it drops xp but a little bit more than the enderdragon (cause of the fire and lava and zombies and skeletons you have to get through, sounds harder than the enderdragon in the End) and drops the portal back AND drops a zombie egg (I couldn't think of the drop) and when you use it, you can control the zombies but, only for a short time. Maybe the more xp you give the egg, the more powerful it is and more longer you can use it. Sorry if this idea for minecraft is too big or too long or both, just a idea I made up and a use for the unused mob and I hope it gets added. Also i support these mods:

Challenge mobs should definitely be expanded on within Minecraft. Not bosses, per say, because there is already THE boss. And I don't mean mobs that deserve their own "worlds", just mobs that are more challenging to defeat, and are encountered only on occasion. By occasion, I do not exactly mean that they are rare in the same sense that spider jockeys are rare, but that the player has to go looking for them, or has to engage them in some manner. I see iron golems as the first successfully executed challenge mob, and I want to see more.
I really like to see the Giant be used as either a boss mob or a really rare challenge mob. However, I don't think they need their own dimension. Also, if used as a boss mob, Giants should have lairs high in the sky. (think The Giant in Jack n' the Beanstalk)

"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.

And the way you use the icons is annoying.
