I've always thought that Minecraft was missing a little atmosphere. It would be amazing if ambient noises were added into Minecraft, and I don't mean the creepy sounds that you hear when you're cave exploring. I mean birds singing in forest biomes, footsteps echoing in caverns, wind blowing when your at a high elevation, crickets chirping at night, and much more. I think these noises would greatly improve the atmosphere in the game. Feel free to leave any feedback and tell me what you think about the idea.
Here's a a few links to some videos that completely explain what I'm talking about.
The pig screeching is a little overdone at the end of the second video. :tongue.gif:
Cool videos. I'd like to see some of those sounds implemented, but I think too many of them [like in the videos] would be over done and not fit Minecraft very well.
I checked out MAtmos, and it seems really cool. I still wish that the noises were in vanilla Minecraft, because I personally don't use mods. Anyways, thanks for all of the feedback.

Damn that cat is distracting.
read the rules bfore posting. simply stating there is a mod for that is a dire offence. we have little patience for it these days.\
