Hi guys! I'm not used to suggest stuff, but today, i got something important.
If you noticed, in the 1.8 update, they changed the way that passive mobs spawn.
In Beta 1.7, Alpha 1.2.6 and since passive mobs were added they spawned on grass with light leve 9 or above.
In 1.8, they spawned omly once per chunk, that means that if you kill all the passive mobs, there will be no more.
It was changed in 1.0.0 in that if you kill all the mobs in speciefic place, it will respawn.
It's still the same.
But let me remind you how wool is rare now. You need 2-3 nights to find enough sheeps to make a bed.
Anyway, my suggestion is to return the old way of spawning. It was much easier and better to my opinion.
It was more minecrafty. Not like in terraria (why leave a torch, mobs won't spawn in low light levels).
I don't know what you think, but breeding not covers it.
It's you decision now.
I don't know how game-changing the changes were as I started playing minecraft in 1.8. However, I have never had problems finding wool. Quite often I will find 3 sheep at the least on my first day or second day if I'm unlucky. Cows, however, always seem to be what I have trouble finding :sad.gif:
Uh, you forgot to mention how breeding completely obliterated any cons from the spawning system. Heck the spawning system HAD to be done to balance it out . . .
Since they never despawn and I find lots of animals everywhere, you can very easily keep the population alive.

The thing is, it does. I have huge piles of wool and could easily start a chicken farm if I wished to.
Everytime i log on, i expect to see my warn status go up.
Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
