I say we shall have a brand new enchantment for Tools known as Tough Touch!
This lets whatever block you mine drop it's finished resource rather than it's block!
Gravel blocks shall drop as flint 100% of the time, Stone will give you Smooth Stone, Iron Ore shall give you Iron Ingots, same with Gold, and even Cactus will drop as their dyes!
hmm, not a bad idea, i just don't agree with the name, I think that it should be something like "instasmelt" or something like that, then it would be the drop of anything smelted. good idea though : )
good idea, makes sense.
name, however, does not. I see what your getting at, with it being anti silk touch, but then tough doesn't really work...
still,

Gravel blocks shall drop as flint 100% of the time Fortune , Stone will give you Smooth Stone Silk Touch , Iron Ore shall give you Iron Ingots, same with Gold, and even Cactus will drop as their dyes!
This enchantment will be rare as Silk Touch.
And that's really all there is.
Enjoy!

As I found out by looking blankly at assassin's post for five minutes, there are already silk touch and fortune enchantments, so the flint and smooth stone can already be obtained by existing enchantments. Getting the "finished" resource would be interesting but only on ores. It would probably be overpowered if you got it, as you are not needing coal to smelt it. I know coal isn't that rare or hard to get a lot of but you still don't have to wait for it to smelt. I kinda like the concept, though.
well, it would be good, because it saves you time... lots of time. and for cactus, it is a good idea for a hoe to have the power-up. just because hoes are quite useless, and also for leaves, higher chance of saps. and no to flint. also, you could make wood drop 4 wooden planks each.
I suggested something similar called an "Order Enchantment". It was a little different in that it always dropped the orderly processed form of an object. For example, it'd convert clay directly into brick blocks.
