Now, after they added Iron Golems, some people think that we should add a different golem for every block in the game. No, just no. However, I propose ONE golem, which has a purpose, and will also automatically cover several blocks in the game. This is the nature golem.
Spawning: To make a nature golem, here is the assembly:
Where = Pumpkin
They also rarely spawn naturally in areas with trees.
What it does:
The nature golem will not attack anything that doesn't attack it. However, all undomesticated animals will follow it. Not all mobs, all animals. Cats and Tamed wolves will stay put. If anything attacks the golem or it's animals, the golem will attack it. It has the same health as the player, and can do just as much damage. Also, it has a very special ability. About 3 times a day, occaisonally 4 or 2, if the golem has access to sunlight, it will perform a sort of spell* that affects the surrounding area for 20 blocks. This spell overgrows the 20 block area. What happens:
Dirt with airblocks above it turn to grass.
Grass grows tall grass, flowers, saplings, and mushrooms, on top of it.
Saplings have a 50% chance to turn into trees if they have room.
Wheat matures.
Pumpkin and Melon stems mature and spawn their respective block.
Reeds grow up to their maximum height of 3 blocks.
Dirt, grass, and sand next to water have a 25% chance of spawning reeds on top of them.
Cobblestone and Stone Bricks turn to Mossy Cobblestone and Mossy Stone Bricks.
10% chance of vines growing on sides of blocks.
