Hello, I would like to suggest REDSTONE BLOCKS.
This is probably not the first time someone has posted something like this, but I have some ideas for the block properties:
-Crafted from 9 redstone
-Can transmit a redstone signal (does not delay the signal, but reduces the charge)
-lights up when powered (a low, red light though, just enough to be noticed.)
-powers adjacent blocks when powered
If there is anything I should add to this, please let me know!
I know there's already 'redstone wire' &/or 'wireless redstone' MODs but the one thing I REALLY hate is the weird way(s)you have to build to go vertically up/down with either redstone dust (on steps) or 'pairs' of redstone torches NOT gates stacked on top of each other
Couldn't we just have stackable redstone 'posts'
The other thing I hate is the way you have to build large block combinations for a 'simple' logic gates (2x1 blocks for a 'NOT' gate / 3x2x2 blocks for a 'AND gate' etc)
Why can't we just have a single block (or 2) for these instead
e.g
- a AND gate could be something like (looking from above - only 1 block height from the side)
- an OR gate could be like
Where = Redstone dust input(s) (or 'repeater' perhaps) = Output is a single block 'AND' gate (a custom block graphic would be needed so you don't mix it up for any other block) is a single block 'OR' gate
The problem would be 'orientation' but maybe something like how you have to place pistons might help - the 'output' always face toward you as you place it.
On the 'sides' you could have colour coded panels opposite each other - so you know where to place your redstone dust/repeater for the input(s)

Yes, redstone blocks should be used for those "posts" you talked about!
