I think it would be pretty cool if a laid egg had a fairly low chance of making a baby chicken pop out. It would help a little in farming and you could find a baby chicken wondering around every now and then. There would definitely be a problem with them being all over the place after a while, though. I'm sure there would be a solution to stop them from becoming overpopulated.
I've been thinking about this for a while as well. I totally think there should be a 10-15% chance of a baby chicken to spawn out of an egg. It only makes sense and it can make it a lot easier than breeding.
I agree with this, but only if there are two chickens together. Just because it wont make sense without that, but then again you can breed cows, which are both female.

I was thinking a little bit lower chance, just so there weren't a bunch of chickens wondering around.

Thoughts?

Yeah and they still lay eggs anyway.
