Suggestion, is that Mojang would implement unique or rare weapons or armor. By unique, I mean a named weapon with special attributes and characteristics. Crafting, or finding these weapons would be a challenge to do so. One example would be, that after you beat the end dragon, a chest will spawn near the portal, that contains a rare weapon.
Example: Sword of the End
+3 hearts melee dmg
+5 damage against enderman
50% chance of mobs dropping x2 xp orbs
Reason behind this suggestion, is that I'm getting kind of tired of the same old diamond sword. Diamonds, for me have been really easy to get, now that I've been playing MC for so long.
Post your opinions about this, and for fun create your own unique weapons down below. =)
Might I remind someone for the 100th time that Minecraft is NOT an RPG?
Like it or not, it's becoming one.
Yes to unique/rare equipment. 1/1000 chance of finding a rare item in a dungeon chest, even rarer in mineshaft chests. If new content is implemented for NPCs, have them as endgame quest rewards. Stuff like that. The rare items have unique enchantments that cannot be created through enchantment tables, and only one of each type (sword, boots, legs, chest, helm, tools) can exist at any given time. Ie, the current one has to break before you can get another unique item of the same item type.

To touch Divinity, one must first be prepared to brave reality.
Why are some people upset about the idea of extra stuff in their arsenal anyways? If they add this It will not change much too the game in general you would have to explore a lot to get these items.
Created from the items of the 3 worlds (Overworld, Nether, End), few can stand against the might of the wielder, atlas, it's power comes with a price. Every blow made, every pain given, takes little by little of your life. Use it in the times of greatest need, but, there is a way to prevent this. Combine all of the minerals of the worlds, and place it on your armor, and it will power the Infinity Blade until the armor with the piece breaks, and it will take your life to power it once again.
Crafting: Combine these items and place it on a diamond sword.
Location of items (For sword):
Overworld: Special item from a Stronghold. (In a chest from some room, mini-boss guards it.)
Nether: Special item from a Nether Fortress. (From a chest in some room, mini-boss guards it.)
End: Dragon Egg. (Enderdragon guards it.)
Items (For armor):
Overworld: Diamond.
Nether: Nether Brick.
End: End Stone.
Damage and Special:
Damage: Kill any mob in one blow. (just does a lot of damage on Enderdragon and mini-bosses.)
Special: Sometimes, it strikes lightning on the spot you swing it at, or create a explosion of fire, or creates a black-hole like rift that sucks mobs that is too close.
Durability: Unbreakable.
Items:
Overworld: Maybe the item would be "Lightning's Core".
Nether: Maybe the item would be "Enternal Fire".
End: Dragon Egg.
Yes, it would be able to kill the wielder if it takes enough health. (With no "Special Armor" on, it would take about a half heart of damage on each blow made.)

"Colder than the snow that blankets the earth" "Colder than the ice that cover the stones and freezes the rivers" "Colder than the north wind blowing through a winter-bound forest" "Colder than all these is the smile of a Shade of the Dark"
Overpowered. Maybe as mod content for people who are into that kind of thing, but otherwise no.

The Aether mod included this kind of items didn't it? Rare weapons and items you weren't able to craft. Maybe including these kinds of things in dungeon chests would be a good idea but then getting these items is just based on luck. Like user_316165 said, maybe a good idea for a mod but not for vanilla.
Waffle, stealing your DP for my collection :tongue.gif:
On a side note, does anyone know how to change names on the forum? I can't find the option anywhere >.>

Neither is Terraria, but it has unique weapons.
