I think that there should be a couple of different villagers maybe you could take out a couple I would also like to make changes to some.
Butcher-I know there is one, but I think it would be better if they have some animals in there gated area.
Miner- This villager would mine if you give him a pickaxe until the pickaxe ran out. He would give you 1/3 of his ores, he would also give the builder all the cobble materials to put into houses, maybe you can have him put the cobble in the builders chest. The left over ores, would be made into armor for militia.
Builder- This villager would build more houses, for villagers to spawn in. This would make good use of the villagers respawning that I have heard will happen in 1.2
Hunter/gatherer- He would have leather armor, a stone sword, bows and arrows, he would try to stay pretty far away from all mobs and players, he could have lets say an entire stack of arrows, he would keep all monsters away from the village.There would be two hunters and they would attack together. They would stay within 750 blocks of the village.They would also get wood for the village and make it into sticks, so the villagers could get new supplies. (Like a new pick for the miner, A new axe for himself, A hoe for the farmer. Exc.
Militia- If the player killed a villager, or any mobs killed a villager, then three guys would come suited in iron armor and would have iron swords. They would kill all entities in the area except for villagers. Knowing this would help a player know not to attack a villager.
Farmer- There is one but try to make him take out wheat, (which he would put in the butchers chest, so the butcher can breed his animals. Which he would kill to give food to the villagers, so they wouldnt die.) Also he would make bread so the villagers had an extra source of food.
Security-they would have leather armor wood swords and bows, and arrows. They can use an archery tower, (Player built), and make a trench, or wall when a villager is attacked, they would make both as soon as one milita is killed.
All villagers- let them need food like normal people.
Also add baby villagers these.could be the villagers.that spawn.
Village buildings-Church
The church building would heal all mobs, players animals. This would be the center of the village.
I know this would be hard to put in it would probably not be ready until 1.3 but I think this would be great to put in for the villages. It would make them so much funner to be in, and would stop so many people from griefing them.
