I just ran into a serious issue while playing on a superflat world type on minecraft involving Fire Charges shot from a dispenser. As I am aware, the Fire Charge, when shot from a dispenser, seems to have a limitless range, and in all honesty, while playing with a friend (and I did not realize the range of fire charges at the time), I accidentally caused an extreme forest fire. With the limitless range on the Fire Charge, this can easily be a problem on superflat world types, and am suggesting that limitations be placed on the range that a Fire Charge can travel when shot from a dispenser. I believe that placing a limit on the distance a shot Fire Charge can travel might help reduce potential lag issues from the servers, as well as preventing fire charges from traveling indefinitly on superflat world types. I have to wonder if I am the only one who thinks that the range of a fire charge should be limited by distance traveled if the fire charge does not hit a block. Feel free to share whether or not you think fire charges should be changed to include limited travel distance.
it should go in a straight line without drop but only for about 30 blocks.
imagine a huge automatic despenser wall in superflat launching fire charges. that would be epic. but also hard and annoying if you were about a couple hundred blocks down range. in superflat, the fire charge is almost enough to oust the TNT cannon but i will still prefer the cannon.
In my experience with fire charges, they don't always go straight. They go at slight angles so they hit the ground occasionally or fly off to the left/right.
