Why are all of the monsters allied against the player? I think there should be a mob that is slightly uncommon (maybe a bit more common than endermen) that attacks players, zombies, NPCs, skeletons, endermen, and spiders whenever it sees them. This would add some more chaos to the world as a third team enters the fight.
Maybe the mob could only attack players at night?
And I think it should be a pigman. It makes sense that whatever attacks monsters should be something human-ish.
- Testificates, peaceful perhaps psychic alchemists and farmers
- Pigmen, brutal barbaric savage raiders and thieves and murders
- Monsters RAWR
- That poor employee from Steve Co. who is impossibly far away from any sort of modern civilization, spawns on a beach, and has pigmen and monsters attacking him all the time :sad.gif:
I'm aware. I was making a point about the depressingly unoriginal suggestion. It wouldn't make any more sense for them to attack monsters than it would for spiders. So why not just make spiders do it? Why add a new lousy mob with bad AI just for this?

I'd prefer it if the game was like this: Peaceful MOBs would autobreed, but all hostile MOBs would try to kill them, except creepers would attack them like zombies to prevent rampant griefing. This way, farming would be more about getting animals in a safe place rather than feeding them wheat all the time.

They would make them that way though. They have with every other mob.
Autobreeding is silly. Why add breeding at all if it's just automatic? With the lousy monster AI, a fence would negate all danger from mobs.
Creepers are not zombies. They would attack by exploding because they are creepers.
I was thinking the same thing, except for spiders, but I'm not sure if Zombies and Enderman would be fitting for their menu. If anything, I'm leaning towards Cave Spiders/ Spiders (they kill each other when their hunger bar says so) Silverfish, Pigs, Chickens, and possibly even Squids. (Water-skimmer spiders ftw!) Drops would either be completely destroyed or will be destroyed most of the time.

"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.

Not a bad idea but pigmen are ridiculously oversuggested. Return with originality, please.
Also, if monsters kill each other, nothing should drop.
Pigmen are suggested a lot, but not for this purpose. It doesn't matter.
And I never said it's a monster. It's a pigman. Pig-man.

We have pigmen already. They're in the Nether.
Why would pigmen attack monsters anyway?
Not zombie pigmen, pigmen. The un-added mob.

They don't need to make them be lousy and have bad AI. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1025429-pigmen/

How to not die in a cave
Absolutely. That would make the coding much easier.
