Since the latest snapshot release, you can build houses for NPCs and they will live in them. I don't know about you but if I'm going to go through the effort of throwing together a house, I'd at least like to see them reward me with something in return. Just a vague idea I thought I'd spread around the forums. Feel free to share any ideas to expand upon this.

... Perhaps a slap on the back? Or perhaps a Map that rather than leading to something it shows a pixelated version of a trollface?
By "they will live in them", does it mean "they will very rarely sometimes walk in then back out"?
Why should they give you anything? Just don't build them houses.
If anything, I'd love the option to give THEM something. Specifically, a nosejob. :tongue.gif:
Based on all the AI updates on the villagers, its become clear that they will become a crucial part of the game in the future.. My guess is on giving the player quests, and in return ..reward. It is for this reason why you will want to keep them alive. Of course you could just think of keeping them alive as reward enough, but I think it would add a bit of realism to the game to give something and then receive, and again incentive to help keep them alive and kickin..
