Is it just me that thinks so, or are jungles kind of lacking in appeal? Besides ocelots and jungle tree saplings, there is nothing there that cannot be obtained elsewhere. It would be cool if there were a structure that randomly spawned in the center of the jungle for the player to locate. Sort of a Indiana Jones style jungle temple.. just an idea I thought I'd throw out there, feel free to expand on to it if you'd like..
great idea. What maybe with like a new NPC hostile mob?? like in the beginning?
My thought was cannibals, but there are already zombies in the game so maybe they would be filled with zombie spawners. Or like you said, it might be a good opportunity to introduce a new hostile mob to the game that is only indigenous to that dungeon-like structure (like the silverfish are to the strongholds).
I think it would be cool when abandoned mineshafts would begin especially in jungle caves.
I haven't seen any surface caves in jungles yet, but that is an interesting concept. The potential problem I could see happening with that is having a cave that gets generated in a higher elevation and the mine shaft ends up spawning in the jungle itself rather than underground. Its unlikely but still a possibility seeing as how the mine shaft now seem to have a mind of there own and like to defy physics.
