I don't normally post in the suggestions section any more because well.. to be quite honest... this place is mostly filled with stupid suggestions from 11 year olds.
But who knows, maybe this idea is stupid as well.
Anyways, I really suggest that Mojang do something like Bethesda did, where they had everyone go crazy for a week and come up with ideas to add whatever they want. It would be cool to see what ideas the creators of the game can come up with, and maybe it will spark some new ideas for the real game :biggrin.gif:
If you don't know what I'm referring to, here's the video.
Just watched the whole video and read your thread. And from my prospective I loved what I saw. And think this might be a great idea to use for Mojang's game Minecraft Thanks for posting this! :biggrin.gif:

I think this would be a good idea for Minecraft since its updated regularly but what's the point of Bethesda brainstorming about this stuff right after they completed making the game?

Just for fun. I think they were thinking about making this stuff free DLC as well. Also, It's not like Skyrim is can't be updated, they've done some updates already actually.

I know but what I meant was like in the video it said they decided to make the gamejam or whatever "upon releasing skyrim" I mean it would've made more sense doing that before releasing Skyrim.
There are only two people working on minecraft, and I'm pretty sure only six coders and Mojang. The other four are all busy with other games, and I'm pretty sure Jeb and Jon operate kind of like this already, so I don't think there would really be much point.
But, wait, isn't going crazy and suggesting whatever you want what mods are for year round? I mean this really; you can do this exact same thing and more with mods. It's like, you want seasons? I'm pretty sure there's a mod for that, and you want Tornadoes? There's definitely a mod for that.
All in all, you can do this exact same "GameJam" week year round with mods, why waste a week over-stuffing the vanilla coding?
